Chaweewan Poem 4

My dearest lady has such a pretty Face

That makes my Heart doth Race

My life lightens with up her bright Smile

May I be in her arms for a long long While

I'll soon be with her near Christmas Time

We'll be together our bodies can Entwine

In our one and only love, so new and Fresh

We pray our joint future will Enmesh

To my dear one and only Chaweewan

I love you forever in our Pureland

Of  togetherness in England and Thailand!

We are both Part of the Milky Way Galaxy

This moment in time our new Reality

In our Solar System on such a Rare Earth

Found each other, in this time, this Rebirth

A miraculous bonding we both prayed would Come

At last we're here for our ever, it's now Done

Will you be my lover, my friend and Companion

For the time we have remaining ne'er Abandon

But through thick and thin and all states in Between

Our bond of love will grow and Grow I Know

Together we'll reach the highest Love

An understanding of each soul's but Oneness

Loving you from afar over the Miles

With a shortcut between our hearts & Smiles

From Manchester rain to your Bangkok Dawn

Every heartbeat carries me to where you Are

Till the day the miles melt into one Embrace

Chaweewan, my Golden Love, Forever Ours

Although there are many Miles between Us

Our love can transcend those Kilometers in Mind

To be both apart and together over the time Zones

A bond where we praise each other we did Find

Through hopes and prayers we bonded on first Meet

Our Body Speech and Mind met -- perfectly Combined

Although thousands of miles still stretch between us,
Our love leaps further than any distance in mind;
We live in different hours, yet never apart in soul or zones,
A sacred bond where heaven helped two hearts to find.
From the very first moment our hopes and prayers aligned,
Body, speech, and mind all met—perfectly combined.

Hi Alastair,

It's ok, I'm not in the UK at the moment thankfully, but the cold weather does affect my house that I monitor remotely externally & internally on 7 Ring cameras, a small issue has re-arisen to sort on my return in February, and we're in somewhere warm all year round near where Rinpoche died, and staying with my fiancée; we visited the Temple in October where his ashes were taken.

Yes, I liked YNP secondly out of the 4 root practices completed, RD was my most intense, but have to admit my formal practice has attenuated somewhat since Rinpoche's death & my Father's death 12 days earlier (sorting the probate was a massive task!) and now mainly do ad hoc 'NoM' resting, mantra meditation and of course the 8 worldly concerns.
Much has changed for me recently, I retired as a Physicist working 45 years in Engineering recently.
(By the way as someone who has investigated 'ClimateChange' for over 25 years since running Climate Models, I know what the MSM tell everyone to be a total exaggeration, of even what IPCC are stating & to the detriment of us all especially in the UK; I've written a pamphlet about it, but needs far more work to simplify for public. I'm a signatory to Clintel https://clintel.org, but realise many in Rigpa, not all I must add, disagree with my honest views, and a few have been quite aggressive towards me on this sadly (esp. those associated with 'Just StopOil'); note any prayers about 'Climate', although I know well intentioned, don't understand our deluxe reality based on yes, FossilFuels, the COG's of Modern Civilisation. I know this might be opposite to some Rinpoche's teachings but I try to go for reality not seemingly 'virtuous' misguided but well intentioned words).
Apart from health issues that deplete my energy from Long Term Type 2 Diabetes (2 of my 4 siblings have been suffering badly & gone on to be Insulin dependent recently), I was/am very busy with family commitments of my children & my first grand daughter will be arriving into the world around Easter time.
Time here is helping my recouperation of health, (but it took me a week to get over the travel!) 45 years intense working life & my fiancée looks after me very well; although she was struck herself by some food poisoning (I avoided squid & clams!) & fully recovered without needing hospitalisation.

We have visited many temples from Chiang Rai & Chiang Mai to Bangkok recently and I've spoken with quite a lot of monks & people, but as my younger (& Vajra) brother and I see that Buddhadharma here has seemingly descended into Tourism, Idol worship & requests for monk Blessings for Wealth, Health, Fortunes, for most, and little talk of dharma sadly; but of course that good basis can help lead to practice, so similar to Tibetan ordinary folk in a way doing mani mantras circumambulation.
The 4 of us met up in Bangkok last week, before they went to Ko Phangan, for the first time since pre-Covid when I started dealing with Dad's house & we met his wife also for the first time here at a local hotel.
They run retreats/seminars based on Osho teachings & Chakra mediations etc. for income, sometimes in Ukraine, no longer Russia sadly of course, Türkiye, Thailand, HK etc. and other countries in Asia. My other 3 siblings & Uncle have had some connections with Tibet Buddhism, but no longer.

Amongst the many Temples visited, there was one picture of Guru Rinpoche amazingly to see high up at 'Wat Phra That Doi Suthep' in Chiang Mai; reminding me of the similar at Kagyu Ling in the 70's (btw I met up with my previous 6 Vajra siblings when the 17b Karmapa visited last year, I've not seen the 17d Karmapa yet, but did attend the 16th visit in Manchester in 1977).

Hope Steph & you are well, I see some things on facebook but try not to visit it too often, and just post the odd climate item that maybe of interest, so all in all, bit of a long-winded story & copied Kathy who mentioned you'd be in touch, however I cannot commit to such ... I'm very sorry ...

Cheers, Peter

Chaweewan's Poem 1

 Grok / X

In Thailand's glow, where warm winds doth Play,

I found a heart that will light my new Way.

Your smile, a bloom in each day's Grace,

A spark of joy in every new-found Place.

Through temples of gold and skies so Wide,

With you, my heart has found its new Tide.

Your laughter and dances, soft and Free,

A song of laughter 'n love, just for you and Me.

From Bangkok's hum to its glistening sandy Shore,

Each step with you, I hope to love you Evermore.

In your eyes, I see the stars and planets will Align,

My Thailand love ChaweeWan, maybe be forever Mine.

Fç you've just reached fifty

Now dear Françoise you've just reached fifty

Years have passed today but still very nifty

In English this is also called two score and ten

Think how rare it is to be taught dzogchen

Life on this joint impermanent conveyor belt

We've be given cards so very well dealt

To meet a teacher such as Sogyal Rinpoche

To remember his pith instructions every day

Let's not waste what days we still have left

Samsara for its brief joys leaves us bereft

Practicing mindfulness with kindness to all

This Earth in midst of trillions is so small

Our journey is but a fraction of cosmic time

Out of hell realms we managed to climb

Our regrets at our end will surely makes us cry

If we still beleive in the crooked imaginary 'I'

So my sincere WISH for you is coming soon

From this fake practioner who's dharma immune!

May you be Well & have the Wisdom of the Buddhas
May you be Inspired & free of Ignorance
May you be Safe & free of Suffering.
May you be Happy & Healthy!
